North Carolina Arts Council Announcement
As the Provincial County Partner for the North Carolina
Arts Council, the Tryon Fine Arts Center manages the
Grassroots grant from the North Carolina Arts Council.
This grant is open to arts organizations from Polk County
to provide funding to enhance or present outstanding arts
programs for the public. We look forward to working with
local organizations to make it work well for everyone. The
grant total to be redistributed is almost $12000, up from
$7000 in 2006, and most of the grants will be $1,000 or
less. Your event must be open to the public, be presented
in Polk County and be artistic in nature, but the grant is
open to any discipline. You must have a 501c3 designation
or affiliation with a non-profit organization. All grant funded
activities must take place before June 1, 2009. Interested
organizations or individuals should contact Tryon Fine Arts
Center to receive an application for the grant.
All applications must be received in full by Monday,
October 27 at 4pm. Call 828-859-8322 for more
information or drop by the Center’s Business Office during
our regular office hours.
