TRYON LITTLE THEATER
plays with volunteer everybody:actors, directors, scenic designers, costumers and prop
crew. Records indicate Tryon’s first theater productions took the stage at several locations
in Tryon. Before the Tryon Fine Arts Center opened in February 1969 as TLT’s new home,
TLT’s curtain went up at the Polk County Court House, in Stearns School, the Lake Lanier
Teahouse, Sunnydale (now El Jalisco), the high school auditorium and at the Episcopal
Church. In addition to the season performances at the Tryon Fine Arts Center, TLT also
performs and offers classes/workshops at the Tryon Little Theater Workshop on Highway.
