The UNITY Project: Bringing the community together through art

The UNITY Project is well underway! This exciting new initiative-led by John Wilkins and a team of community volunteers-is supported by a Polk County Community Foundation Free Events Grant.

We’ve already hosted a number of sessions (with more to come) that let professional artists and community members unleash their creativity to create a multimedia collage and define what “unity” means to them.

If you’d like to join us, there’s still time to sign up for the final session on April 8th at Landrum Library.

Work is underway on the 3 large panels for professional artists.

Raleigh-based artist Eric McRay leads a workshop in the creation of multi-media collages.

Local students learn about the art of collage from McRay, and then try their hand at creating their own.
