Spend an Enchanting Evening with Sarah & Ella
At this Sarah and Ella showcase, you will hear a blend of the lonesome stories in song told in the styles of Folk music and Bluegrass rhythms. With Sarah and Ella’s smooth harmonies and lovely melodies, these tales come to life with beauty and emotion that will touch your heart. Weaving their lonesome, delicate, sweet sound, they seek to capture a certain“thoughtful nostalgia.” They will be joined by Eli Aldrich on bass.
ABOUT SARAH & ELLA
Contemporary folk artists Sarah Doan and Ella Tokar hail from the heart of the Blue Ridge Foothills. Both started at the PacJAM program through Tryon Fine Arts Center in Tryon, NC at age eight, Sarah on fiddle and Ella on mandolin, eventually both picking up guitar as well.
Since then, they have enjoyed playing in multiple bluegrass bands and have performed at many different gigs; their favorites being the Earl Scruggs Music Festival and participating on the Youth Stage at IBMA.
Recently, they have started delving into the ever-evolving, captivating art of songwriting. In 2024 they started their own singer-songwriter duo called Sarah and Ella, specializing in folk/singer-songwriter style music.
