Fayssoux McLean and Brandon Turner
Thursday, May 4, 2017. 7pm
The Sunset Series continues with regional roots and Americana duo Fayssoux McLean and Brandon Turner performing in Tryon Fine Arts Center’s Peterson Amphitheater on Thursday, April 27th at 7:00pm.
McLean and Turner have made a name for themselves as one of the top Americana duos in the region. You've heard Fayssoux McLean, even if you haven't heard of her. McLean's beguiling voice was an integral element in some of the finest country music recordings of our time, with performances with Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton and Tom T. Hall among many others.
Brandon Turner has been garnering attention and praise for his skilled guitar work since he was a teenager. Growing up in a house where his father always had instruments lying around, Turner got his first electric guitar at age 9 and began absorbing the musical traditions of the Piedmont and Delta Blues, as well as studying the styles of guitar legends such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and Jeff Beck.
Now based in Upstate South Carolina, McLean and Turner combine their talents for an unforgettable night of Americana tunes in the Peterson Amphitheater as the sun sets over the Blue Ridge Mountains behind TFAC.
The Sunset Series is sponsored by the Plume Foundation.
Admission to the concert is by donation at the door.
