Jazz '22: TFAC Community Outreach Series

Jazz & Etiquette Masterclass will provide up to 30 area high school youth will be selected by Polk County & Upstate SC schools will learn from GRAMMY-award winning musician, Quentin Baxter of the band Ranky Tanky, Etiquette Instructor, Taitia Adams-Fox and musical arts students of The Gardening Club including, local musician, Carson Moore.

During the 4-hour class, students will learn about the music of jazz, the significant musical contributions of Jazz Masters past and present, techniques, instrumentation and arrangements and the culture & etiquette of jazz supper clubs with a provided luncheon provided by Tryon Resort.

TFAC's Pacelot Junior Appalachian Musicians (PacJam) provides an opportunity for area youth and adults to experience community through the joy of participating in traditional music.

PacJAM offers sessions each fall and winter/spring semester, as well as an intensive day camp one week each summer for youth. Students of all skill levels ages 6-late teens and adults are invited to join us for instruction in traditional music. Click here to learn more.
