More than 50 film screenings in multiple venues in downtown Tryon, NC, events & more! Film festival screening opportunities offer filmmakers a platform to showcase their cinematic creations to a diverse and discerning audience. These events serve as a vital bridge between the creative process and public appreciation, fostering connections between industry professionals, enthusiasts, and emerging talents.
Adult students receive 1 hour of group instruction weekly.
PacJAM teaches the importance of music and community through weekly group instrument instruction, coached multi-instrument JAMs, singing, and weekly insights into the people, places, and events that contribute to Appalachian music and culture. Youth ages 8-high school may choose instruction for beginner, intermediate, or advanced guitar, mandolin, fiddle, bass, & banjo, & new this semester, dulcimer. Students aged 6-8 get their start on ukulele.

The Tryon International Film Festival was founded by the Polk County Film Initiative to further its mission to promote filmmaking to our community. A major piece of this mission is focused on education which is why we’re very pleased to offer these workshops.
