Teachers! Registration Is Open for the
2026 Showcase of Excellence!
Tryon Fine Arts Center (TFAC) looks forward to another Showcase of Excellence in 2026 that will feature the exceptional artistic talent of high school students in our area. A juried fine arts competition, this event offers young artists their first taste of a professional gallery environment. Local high school teachers in North and South Carolina as well as qualified home schoolers are invited to submit their students’ best work in painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, and photography/digital media.
Cash prizes will once again be awarded for the top student artists and teachers. First Prize and Best in Show students are awarded a cash prize to encourage their artistic pursuits. Winning teachers are also awarded a cash prize from the Fine Arts Center that they may use for classroom projects. These prizes are made possible by generous donors to TFAC’s Arts, Education and Outreach programs.
We look forward to 2026 and to seeing the creative endeavors of our area’s youth. The 2026 Showcase of Excellence will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 10 am – noon in the Jeanne Parker Gallery at Tryon Fine Arts Center, with the exhibit open for viewing through Saturday, February 28.
