Experience what it’s like to be a performer on the Tryon Fine Arts Center Veh Stage during TFAC’s Stage Door Jazz Series. The Michael Jefry Stevens Quartet featuring Christian Howes will close out the Sunday afternoon jazz series. The audience will be under the lights with the jazz ensemble in an intimate onstage setting. A reception will be held backstage to round out the music experience.

Pianist, Composer and “Steinway Artist,” Michael Jefry Stevens performs extensively in Europe, Latin America and North America. He has composed over 340 works for both large and small ensembles. He will be joined by Rick Dilling on drums and Adam Booker on bass. Noted jazz violinist Christian Howes will round out the quartet. Violinist, educator and composer, Howes was named among the top three jazz violinists in the JazzTimes critics poll, and nominated for Violinist of the Year by the Jazz Journalist Association.
