Travis LeDoyt: Tribute to the King

Travis LeDoyt: Tribute to the King

The King of Rock & Roll is in house!

Travis LeDoyt is so on point that Elvis’ drummer, D.J. Fontana has stated, “This is as close as you’re going to get to seeing Elvis in the 50s.”

LeDoyt has the look, the moves, voice and the musical chops, as well as the charm and charisma to pull off every aspect of Presley as he mesmerized audiences in the early days of Rock & Roll. Though based in the US, LeDoyt has travelled the world bringing his tasteful and authentic portrayal to audiences who are transformed to the 1950’s in both song and presentation.

To kick the night off, Tryon Fine Arts Center will host a 50’s Sock Hop from 6-7 pm for ticket holders in the Pavilion — so, if you choose to, pull out the poodle skirts and bobby socks, guy’s grab the pomade and dust off your blue suede shoes! There will also be a 50’s dance demonstration, and yes, there will be a Best Elvis Contest.

If you plan to attend the pre-show Sock Hop, please RSVP no later than Wednesday, September 18 so we know how to plan accordingly. To RSVP, contact the box office at 828.859.8322 or email sharol@tryonarts.org.
