TFAC's popular event, Chase Away the Blues, on Saturday, May 6 will feature Grammy nominated, multi-instrumentalist Jontavious Willis. Willis headlines the Veh Stage with an acoustic blues prowess and voice that captures the heart and soul of the blues with an unwavering nod to its Delta roots. The high-octane evening continues with Slide Gas Can guitarist and legendary bluesman Mac Arnold & Plate Full 'O Blues follow Willis on the Veh stage. The Shane Pruitt Band featuring JIm Peterman will open the evening at 6 PM. The VIP Blues Lounge opens at 5:30 PM with live music open bar and food provided by Tryon Resort in the Pavilion. All are sure to get your feet stomping and your body swaying!

The classic movie, Ocean's 11, tops off the current film series bringing a casino and Rat Pack fun to the Tryon Fine Arts Center Lobby on Tuesday, May 9th. The evening will begin with a Party of food and drink appropriate to the movie genre. Prizes will be awarded to the best costumed pair.
Based out of Asheville, NC, Fancy and the Gentlemen brings an eclectic mix of honky tonk, blues, southern gothic, rock, and classical roots to this americana band. Sensitive and rich harmonies weave through the tapestry of original compositions and carefully curated covers that celebrate the roots of American southern music. Fancy Marie, Katie Leigh, and Craig Kellberg enjoy performing as a full groove-infused band, while staying true to the core that is the artistry that is the songwriting trio.
We have planned a fantastic summer camp, for the week of June 26th-30th. Students will experience group lessons, jams, music theory, traditional art, songs, stories, and dancing, with an impressive lineup of regular and guest artists.
Our youth visual arts camp is a program designed for young people to learn and explore different forms of visual art, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography. The camp provides an immersive and creative environment for participants to develop their artistic skills and express themselves through various mediums.
Presented in collaboration with Tryon Little Theater, the annual Summer Theater Camp allows students to put on a fully-staged production in just one week! Students learn about the ins and outs of theater-from auditions Monday morning to a fully-staged public show with lights, sound, sets, props & costumes on Saturday!
