PacJAM teaches the importance of music and community through weekly group instrument instruction, coached multi-instrument JAMs, singing, and weekly insights into the people, places, and events that contribute to Appalachian music and culture. Youth ages 8-high school may choose instruction for beginner, intermediate, or advanced guitar, mandolin, fiddle, bass, & banjo, & new this semester, dulcimer. Students aged 6-8 get their start on ukulele.

Tryon Fine Arts Center kicks off 2024 with its uber-popular Pacolet Junior Appalachian Music (PacJAM) program. PacJAM is a musical exploration for youth and adults interested in learning Ol' Time Appalachian music on traditional instruments..

Join us at TFAC for a week of adult art camp. Artist and educator Clara Rogers follows up on her highly successful adult art camp – So You Think You Can’t Draw - with a deeper dive into artistic discovery with Just the Basics.
