This premier event is a juried fine arts competition that offers young artists their first taste of a professional gallery environment. Cash prizes are awarded for the top student artists and teachers.
Join us Thursday, June 22, for a preview Flight of Spirit: American & Soviet Female WWII Pilots. TFAC partners with Tryon Arts & Crafts School for the exhibit of this extensive collection of photography. Both locations are curated by Martha Strawn, president of the Anne Noggle Foundation and art historian Lili Corbus.

Barbara will not only share her creative process during the artist's talk, but will also provide a hands-on experience of learning how to create dot art using dowels, paint and canvas. There is no limit to those who can attend, however the first 20 to register will receive supplies and materials to actively participate.
Barbara Francois’ bold and colorful paintings are inspired by Australian Aboriginal Dot Art and are akin to tactile woven fibers while Montagne Handwoven and Lyn Sterling Montagne’s linen fiber tapestries reflect an
artisanal kinship to a painted work of art.
